Evgeni B. Khoroshilov
(1930-1982)

Evgeni was cared for by his grandmother after both parents were killed in World War II. He lost his grandmother as a child and became a refugee from the Fascists. He was then raised by surrogate parents. He finished Orel Art College and was accepted into the Repin. He graduated in 1960.

Khoroshilov had great success in the Artists Union and Republic Exhibitions. While the main body of his work was done in an impressionist/social realist style, he also enjoyed drawing humorous and often cutting political cartoons. He is listed in "A Dictionary of Russian and Soviet Painters," page 141.
